 We're at RFR 9.3 and 9.4 ($75 and $99*)
« Thread Started on Aug 20, 2010, 7:42pm »

*Not a TYPO
It's Labor Day and you work hard for your money. . . so keep as much dough in the 'piggy' as possible.
$75 for Friday and $99 for Saturday
No, we didn't come off our meds.
No, we're not doing anything illegal.
These club days aren't about making money. . . we don't need very much to run the club. . . Our club is about riding with friends.

The formal announcement:

The executive board of SBK775 has worked out a great event in support of Reno Fernley Racetrack's first motorcycle race ever! (brought to you by Twisted Track Promotion Racing http://TTPRacing.com You can also check out RFR's site www.renofernleyracetrack.com/
Saturday track day has been added and they want to extend an invitation to everyone.

When SBK started, we hoped to provide track events for less than 100 dollars. . .
. . .not some crappy, sloppy, 'Who cares?' type of event, either
We wanted to provide a club sponsored track events of unmatched quality, with a focus on FUN, that are as safe as possible. What drives us is the goal to bring as many of our friends together at the track to develop skills in a safe environment, realize their potential as sport motorcyclists, and share some smiles and high-fives. Also, we wanted to help our local track so it too, can evolve into a 'ThunderHill'
Done, done and DONE (and still working on it)

We will offer a two group format with Alternating 30 minute sessions.
Friday's Schedule:
7:00 Gates open
7:10 Registration opens
7:20 Tech opens
8:15 Rider's Meeting
9:00 Racers/A group
9:30 B/C group
rotation continues until
12:30 Lunch
1:00 Racers/A group
1:30 B/C group
rotation continues until
3:30 Track Closed (for set up of timing and scoring)
[30 minute x 6 sessions= 40 MORE minutes than a traditional 3 group format :) ]

Saturday Schedule:
7:00 Gates open
7:10 Registration opens
7:20 Tech opens
8:15 Riders meeting
9:00 Racers/A group
9:30 B/C group
rotation continues until
12:00 Lunch
12:30 Try The Track (take a multi-lap tour of the track behind our control riders and learn what it's all about)
1:00 Racers/A group
1:30 B/C group
rotation continues until
5:00 Track closed

All your favorite control riders will be available for support, or help you learn the Reno Fernley Racetrack's 3.1 mile 'C' configuration.

Questions?
You can ask on this thread, or PM me (please include an email address or phone number for a quick reply)

Please check out http://www.TTPRACING.com for information on how to enter RENO FERNLEY'S FIRST EVER MOTORCYCLE RACE.

Man i would just like to point out that SBK775 is blowing all of the other groups out of the water. I have never seen so many cheap trackdays. I am spreading the word and already people are amazed at you guys's prices. MMP $200 a day. If you guys keep this up im sure more and more of us are gonna start making the extra couple hours drive to RFR. How late in the season do you have access to these trackdays?

Providers haven't scheduled events past Oct 31. I do, however, know people who have been to January test & tunes because of a warm weekend.
If we only knew when those warm weekends were going to occur...

We're a club, not a business. You'd be surprised how little $$ it takes to run a club! The executive board and founding members couldn't justify a club like ours making thousands of dollars per track day. Big profits make no sense if you are trying to provide something fun for as many friends as possible.
That's the deal... nothing more complicated about it! Glad you are getting the word out.

This is my birthday weekend. I might treat my self to some fun. It would be my first time on the track.

Q: What is exceptable riding gear?

Nylon riding gear that zips together
leather riding gear that zips together
one piece leathers
boots that are at minimum, sturdy and above the ankles.
Gloves that are also sturdy and extend beyond the wrist

Question:

So does the track go cold for 1/2 hour at 12:30 - 1:00? That would only be 5 sessions for B/C riders.
