2011 NSC Sunday Rides

SBK775 and Nevada Sportbike Club have partnered up to provide SBK775 riders with structured Sunday rides. If you aren’t familiar with the NSC, we are a similar club born from familiar circumstances. We all love riding on the weekends as well as the track. We take safety very seriously, advocating full leathers at all times, riding at your own pace and using the 2 group system. Our groups are comprised of racers to MSF instructors, so there is always someone there to ride with and to learn from.

On Carson days, Reno riders usually meet at the Starbucks on Mt. Rose (By Galena) 1 hour before to ride over togeather.

Every year I ask and see if anyone has any cool rides that they would like to do which I may be missing. Here’s a short list of where we currently go with a short description. If you have anything else please post it up with a Google map of the route and a short description of the ride.

Truck Route- VC

Iron Mountain- 88 to Iron Mountain Rd. also sometimes takes 25 to 49 or Volcano depending on how everyone feels.

Blairsden- Out 89 to Blairsden. Nice short ride.

Monitor- Up, over and back for lunch in Markleville

Gold Lake- 89 to 49, turn off at Bassets station.

Ice house- Out 50 to Ice House Rd to Wentworth.

Loop ride (Memorial)- 89-49 to Auburn, back either 80 or Wentworth to Ice House to 50.

Cherokee- 89 to 70 to Quincy. Bucks Lake (awesome) to Orville. Cherokee Rd to 70(Feather River road) back

La Porte- 70 to La Porte Rd to Oregon Hill Rd. 49 to 89 and back

Three Pass- Ebbets to Sonora to Monitor

Ebbets- 89 to hwy 4 and back

I'm sure there are a few I'm missing or cant think of, but this is most of it.

Sorry, I got yelled at recently for being on the Internet at work. Been having to actually do stuff (or fake doing stuff with how slow it's been).
The first ride is scheduled for April 3rd and is supposed to meet in Carson @10. If you check the NSC website (www.ridensc.com) and check out the schedule for updates just incase. It also has the meet locations on there. If you are worried about finding the place, I'm more than happy to swing by your house on the way there to pick you up.

Sorry, I thought I had posted a schedule for this year already, instead of just some of the routes we take. Edited original post to include schedule. If you guys prefer i can split it into its own thread.
Again, if anyone wants to come, but isn't sure where to meet, or is nervous about showing up by themselves, shoot me a message, I'm more than happy to swing by and we can ride over together. Everyone who rides in this group (either through SBK or NSC) is extremely nice and welcoming of beginners. We want to see you succeed and have fun, while safely riding your motorcycle.

I don't think you need to make another thread; this one should suffice as the official 2011 NSC ride thread. It should be stickied, though.

Also, someone who is familiar with the ride routes and has a bounty of time on their hands should make and link google maps of the rides.

johns memorial ride is the one i went on last year all i can say is wow! that was a hell of a ride!
