thats official for those that want to join in and pay around up in donner pass and see some neat history and pic opportunities

Im wondering if we can get a reasonable time line for the whole ride? I really want to go but, my wife is going to a wedding at 3pm so, I will need to be home by 2pm.  Can anybody estimate ride time there, hang out, and time to ride back? What will be the route? Thanks, |

Thanks, I'm not gonna be going but I do know my way around them parts. here is a linky to a map of the ride from the meeting point to the tunnels. How long it takes you to get back depends on the route you take and where you live. If you are in carson I'd go back this way: LINK says 3.5 hrs for the whole ride. or if you need to get back quicker you can go this way back through tahoe and over 50 short route |

so if we left at 930 and takes 1.5hrs to get there thats 11 and you leave by 1p you should be home by 230 with a half hour to spare suckerpunch we are going up rose and backtracking the same way or at least i will only i will go back over VC n six mile now thats a good day of riding thanks for the links gang much apreciated who all is in on this?  head count? rgmrts justino ? |

it is a great ride daniel but on the way up we will be meeting people in reno if you wanted you could ride up 50 and meet us at 28 and 267 i will be going over VC to meet in reno and back through VC to get home
its all up to you

If it does show going through CC first, lets just flip it? would that be ok? |

If I were going from CC I'd ride up & over VC. Meet the guys at mt rose starbucks. Ride up mt rose, over brockway summit 267 with everyone. Then i80 & old 40 to the tunnels.
Then I'd take 80 & hwy 89 back to the lake, around the west side of the lake, down kingsburry grade and back to CC via jacks valley road.
That's how I roll.
