My garage is getting too cluttered. Can anyone recommend and inexpensive self storage unit?

They're all pretty similar.
I have the same problem. I'm looking into getting a permit and just building a shed. Depending on the design of your house you might be able to add a storage loft in your garage with a pull down stair well.

Thanks Jason, I'm renting now, so building isn't feasible. I'll just go with whichever storage facility has the most convenient hours/access

It's a small one, I believe 5x10 but it's only $30 a month and it's right by my house. The bigger 8x10 is something like $55? It's called a1 self storage. Also it's open 7 days a week from 8-7 ish? Nothing fancy but the price is right

I have two pieces of advice as far as self storage goes. a) if you are at all sketched out by a place or something seems off, look for a new place. b) buy a really good lock
In college, my roommates and I rented a unit in one of those warehouse-converted-to-storage places to keep our stuff over the summer. The guy seemed a little shady and the security questionable. But we were short on time and it was cheap. Big mistake. Someone clipped the lock and emptied out our unit. It sucked.

It's not for bikes, but i'll consider security carefully. Thanks for the warning, W

The owner of my storage unit is now a wanted man. Ran off with all the rental money. Also got caught cutting locks and stealing out of units. THE OWNER! Yikes

Still, I'd concider the attic door. A pull down assembly that allows access between the stringers is less than $200 most places then some plywood for a floor and all your stuff is close by and as safe as anything else in your house. Your landlord may allow it and beyond a day's work it is not bad if you intend to stay a while. I can't help on storage lockers as I've only ever had one and while good, that was in Ohio so it doesn't help you.

I have no clue the price but we (company) use superior storage. Have for a couple years. Its in your area. How much stuff you trying to store? Need temp control?

I don't need temperature control. 5x10 or 5x15

I have a mostly empty shed on my lot... Daron has his crap in storage at my place, I don't see how some more could hurt.

The one on the corner of Evans and Mccarran is good. I've used them and had family use them. 24hr access by coded gate and the owner lives on property. She's easy to deal with.
