I'll chip in to get there, but I'm pretty sure it's free once you get to Qatar.

Qatar is in Southern California right? Close. I always thought it would be cool to follow MotoGP around for a season and watch the race, then do a trackday at that track. Qatar sounds cheap. I have a buddy that went to Phillip Island and did a couple of trackdays and it cost around $750 a day for the day including bike and gear rental. That did not include plane flight, hotel, food, or transportation to the track.

That is about the same price people pay all the time to rent a bike and do the California Superbike School here in the states. Did you buddy do one of their overseas schools?

No, that was just to do a trackday. No schools. Since you put it that way it just occurred to me how that isn't too bad for price. Yamaha School of Champions runs $1000-$1200 a day and the schools are usually two day schools.
