The 3 people I talked to some last year when I was building my Kawi 650 as a trackbike (not race but track duty only) were:

1) Zoran who is the man in the know for all that is SV650 and a good local Reno resource.
2) Gary at Blue Ridge Performance - good resource but not local at all

3) Jeff Tigert aka Tige who has raced the Kawi 650 in the past and done well. (I beleive Jeff is the 2010 AFM #1 plate holder on other bikes looking at the AFM site.) I talked to him about the Kawi 650 and a rear shock, etc. - knows his stuff. He is in So Cal if I recall.

[Just as a side note Zoran and Gary definitely know each other and have raced it seems. Gary is sort of the Zoran type guy for the Kawi world. They seem to clash a bit on bikes, builds, etc. LOL]

I took a peek at the AFM's 650 standings from the past year or three. There are primarily more SV's than Ninja's. Hint Hint. Now..to get my hawk on the road and sell my Ninja. Thanks all.

Dale might be selling his Zoran built SV. He may even throw in his custom made triscuit box camera mount!

Just curious... How long are you going to race 650? One season or 5?

Personally, I wouldn't race anything but 650.

Just curious... How long are you going to race 650? One season or 5?

Not really sure. I'm sticking with the 650 until I REALLY know how to ride, ie. smooth, clean lines, etc before dumping in a bunch of horse power. However, I want to get some actual race experience before jumping to a 600.

One of the ARC coaches is running the twins class on an SV and would be more than happy to help answer questions you might have on mods from easy stock improvements to all out race mods.
