Saw him at GSR practicing for Sunday's supermoto event. He was kind enough to point out Elena Myers, so I got to chat with her for a little. She looks like Brittany Spears younger sister. No southern accent though

Managed to finish every race ;D the only people behind me either crashed out or stalled or something else. Qualified 18th our of 22 in the Open Beginner race and qualified 3rd in the +45 Vet race. I learned that I dont have the balls to clear that jump they had over the road. Had a HUGE Jerome moment at Friday practice the first time I went up the take off ramp. To much speed, to little table top!!!!! Rear wheel caught the far edge of the table top and pitched me forward, luckily the pitch of the landing ramp was steep enough for me to get back on the seat and continue Every time after that I crawled up the ramp over the top and made sure both wheels did not leave the dirt The back table top sections were fun, learning to slide the back wheel under braking and FORCING MYSELF TO NOT TOUCH THE FRONT BRAKE IN THE DIRT. Huge crowd on Saturday to watch the pros do their stuff, quieter on Sunday but lots of Dads out with their kids which was fun to see. Ended up dead last in every race i entered but in Vet 45+ I still got 3rd ;D just for finishing *LOL* Great weekend, Charlie Burrows was riding a borrowed Aprilla and was 10th in open beginner but damaged his right thumb in a dirt incident. he still came out and races but not sure where he finished except it was in front of me ;D Not sure where my camera is at but I will download the pictures and post them later.

congrats on being first in descending order! LOL
I bet the experience was well worth it. You going to add yet another race style to your repertoire now and keep doing supermoto?

The DRZ is a great street supermoto but wont stand a chance against the race bikes that are out there. If finances improve then I will look for a 250 race supermoto and go from there. It is a fun way of racing but I need some dirt practice. So I guess I need a supermoto bike and a dirt bike!!!! It never ends *LOL*
