Hey guys,
I'm having issues with the electric connections that go under the fuel pump on my 06 R6. My old fuel pump is junk and the electric connectors are broken. But interestingly, they broke differently. One of the wires is intact, with the plastic cap still connected (the broken part here was the male connector located at the pump) but the other one is my torment... the plastic wire end connector snapped from the wire and stayed hooked at the bottom of the pump, leaving no room at all for a re coupling or anything similar (Did I make any sense?? ).
How should I proceed in this case? I looked for just the female wire+connection - to plug in the pump - online but couldnt find it yet and also thought about soldering it but i dont think (if I could somehow do it) would be a good idea...
Any suggestions???

Wow. That's a tough one. I'm sure someone on here will offer to help. Or you could try calling steve at 2Wheel Custom Performance. He might have a good way to fix it. Decent prices too.

Sorry for the delay on replying over here guys, but I thought I had added the notifying thing to this topic, but apparently i didnt. How do I do this here on this forum btw?? About the connection, I figured out a way how to solve my problem. I took some of the plastic off the connector with a hot knife. Doing so, I was able to reach the last few mm of wire that was still connected. Then I soldered a bigger piece to that and voila, i have my connector working back again. Attached is a picture of the "work" I did. It's not pretty, but it works. Now I have another problem. I dont know which wire hooks where now! ;D ;D does anybody know which wire goes to each side?? I have a black and a green wire connected to my main harness... Looking at the other connector that also goes on the fuel pump i found a red and a black wire. Do you think that the black ones should be at the same side on both connectors?? If not, lets say I screw up, can I damage the pump by connecting the wires wrongly?? What kind of consequences should I expect?? Attachments:

Yeah, reversing the polarity on a DC motor is not so good. You can hurt the pump. Steve might be able to tell you. He has a R6 laying around the shop somewhere...
