I think the point is missed here. Yes a red flag means stop. It should only EVER be displayed by itself and be used for one purpose only. I think the concern expressed is its use in combination with other flags to obscure or confuse its meaning. So instead of red/checkered, maybe a black/checkered (as offered up earlier in one of these threads). Or just plain black flag the guy.
Do people like the idea of having multiple track exits? Or just one, and that is coming out of turn 23. I don't like the idea of people getting off track in turn 1 myself.

A few quick comments... again no argument here:
In my mind there is only one track exit at turn 23... use that exit UNLESS directed at the time by a track personel in thier station to do otherwise (Terry in the tower or a flagger in his/her station).
Red means stop (or VERY slowly proceed to the next station workers station for instruction)
Two flags together... is one of them red? It means stop.

RE: funny cats bahahahahahaha *breathe, wipe away tears* bahahahahahaha I can't resist throwing in my two cents; It seems obvious to me (but what do I know, I'm new here) that having people stop and turn around to exit the track in the opposite direction of the normal flow traffic isn't the best idea. The safer route to dealing with someone who blew the checker at 12 is to show them the checker again at start/finish, send the next group out a good distance behind the rogue rider who will then exit the track in the normal fashion. Said rogue rider should then receive a stern talking to as it is disconcerning to me that any rider would miss a flag at 12, never mind a checker, what if it's a waving yellow or a red. I understand that you are in a tuck, WOT and preparing to grab a handful of the binders and tip into a 180* turn. But, it only takes a split second to shift your eyes up to the corner worker station. It's not like you need to turn your head while trail braking into 12, the flag is in your line of sight as you are coming down the straight. Perhaps we should hire this young lady to show the checker at 12. No one would miss it, but we would have a pile of crashed bikes at the end of the back straight.

I like the idea of a flag in the bowl. Turn 12 tower isn't really in the line of sight. Well..not mine anyway. I'm always looking at the ground :cry

You don't get to pick and choose which is more convenient for you at the time. Please pay attention at the riders meeting.
They can't roll the ambulance to somebody who isn't breathing if you are putting on the track.
