just realized we dont have a tech section with that being said does anyone know wat the torque specs are for the front and rear axle and pinch bolts for a 08 gixer 600. im bout to put on new front and rear tires and need to know the torque specs to put it back together.

I know what mine are on my bike. What does your owners manual say under the changing a tire section?

This question goes in 'the garage' section. I use 'the force' to get a sense of the torque values. Then I call Greg and ask him.

I just did mine. I'll check my 06 manual for you. The manual specifies an interesting method of tightening the front axle and pinch bolts. This was the first time I did it according to the manual. is it generally the same for all bikes? my buddie has a 08 cbr1000rr and didnt know if that would be the same or close to it. i still want to get one of the thick shop books on the bike

only problem is those are for the 06 bikes, mines an 08 which i have been told is very different. thats the issue im having is finding one for an 08'
