My prediction: Greg will keep the curb feelers.

I like the curb feelers on the pegs. Are those bad? Why? Clearance issues. They aren't bad, they will just drag around every corner on the track. Even with new rearsets that don't have the curb feelers and are an inch higher and an inch back I'll still have issues with dragging the pegs. On the Honda I spent a lot of time figuring out how not to drag hard parts. I'm not sure how much of an issue it will be on the Yamaha but I am expecting to have a problem or two.

The photo of me on the top of the page was taken the last day my curb feelers were on the bike. I have a whole sequence of shots from Joe with some sparks on that very corner!

ive done quite a bit of hard part dragging on my land yacht.. er... i mean BUELL. ive had to make some modifications and allow the track to do self clearancing.
it wasnt nearly as bad as when i rode ducati jasons ducati monster around RFR this summer!! without even knowing it, i ground off like 1/2" of his exhaust cans on both sides after the session. after i got back into the pits jason told me!!

I'll be in town working on the bike on Thursday. Anyone who would like to come over and help or hang out is more than welcome to. I'll be tearing it down to frame and most of the motor and also be doing a valve check on it. If I have enough time I might start with the wiring. If you have some free time shoot me a pm and I'll get you the info. I should be working on it from about noon until around 5pm.
In the future I'll also have a drill press so if anyone wants to bring their bike over and safety wire it I have plenty of room and all of the necessary tools.

It'll be a multi day project. After Thursday I'll post up next time I'm going to work on it. I just have to figure out when I'll be able to be back in town.
